Do you recognize the Monster?

We are supporting the army. We quickly realized that this would be our mission in Ukraine. If the military does not receive enough support, there will be no one to defend Ukrainians against the occupiers’ attacks. That is why we respond primarily to the soldiers’ needs.

A month ago, we received a call from Witek, a man we met during the operation with a bus for the Ukrainian army. We read entries about Ukraine on his blog. So, we knew that he was supporting soldiers from the 56th Brigade. He knew one of them well before the full-scale invasion because today’s soldier worked in Poland two years ago. He returned to his homeland to fight for it. Witek came up with the idea of buying an excavator for the boys from this 56th Brigade. He sent us several photos of soldiers, some no longer the youngest, fighting with shovels on the frozen ground.

The conversation with Witek motivated us very much. An excavator? This has never happened before! Besides, the guys will deal with the fortifications 20 times faster. We made the decision immediately. We buy it and open a collection at the same time. We’ll be in debt for a while, but OK, we’re buying the Monster.

We started a quick fundraising campaign, but there was so little time to raise money and buy a suitable excavator. Thanks to your support, we bought a suitable mini excavator in just a few days. We found it at the Nex Group. The company’s owners, having learned that we were looking for equipment for the Ukrainian army, gave us a significant discount.

A few days later, the excavator was already with the guys from the 56th Brigade.

We affectionately called the excavator „The Monster” and delivered it to Donbas. Today, the Monster serves at the front. Painted in military colors, it digs fortifications a few kilometers from russian positions.
